ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Test Strategy and Planning

- Define and own the test strategy for the assigned domain/squad, covering functional, regression, integration, and non-functional testing.
- Translate release scope into a coordinated test plan across the QA Engineers in the team.
- Identify quality risks early and escalate them with clear mitigation recommendations.

Team Coordination and Quality Gate

- Coordinate day-to-day work of QA Engineers within the domain, balancing workload against release timelines.
- Act as the sign-off authority for release readiness within the domain, in line with the go/no-go process.
- Review test coverage and defect trends to confirm the domain meets Ooredoo Fintech's quality bar before each release.

Cross-Team Collaboration

- Partner with Product, Engineering, Release Coordination, and Compliance to align on scope, risk, and readiness.
- Represent QA in cross-functional planning and retrospectives, feeding lessons learned back into test strategy.
- Support hiring, onboarding,



and skill development of QA Engineers within the domain.
- Release sign-off accuracy: 98% of QA-approved releases complete without critical incident.
- Domain test coverage: 90% of acceptance criteria covered, tracked per release.
- Defect escape rate: 2% of critical/high defects found in production per release, domain wide.
- Team throughput: Test execution completed within planned release timelines 95% of releases.

Team development: Documented growth plan and check-ins for each QA Engineer in the domain.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- ISTQB Advanced Level or equivalent QA leadership certification is desirable.
- Proven experience leading or coordinating a QA team in fintech, banking, or a similarly regulated industry.

Solid working knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools, and familiarity with CI/CD-integrated testing.
