As a QA Automation Engineer specializing in Selenium, API, and Performance Testing, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will work closely with our development, QA, and DevOps teams to implement robust testing strategies and drive the adoption of best practices in automation testing. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the improvement of our testing processes and to enhance the overall quality of our products.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and define test automation strategies for functional, API, and performance testing.

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver for web UI testing.

Implement API test automation using tools such as Postman or similar.

Develop performance test scripts and scenarios using tools like JMeter or Gatling.

Execute automated test suites to verify software functionality, API endpoints, and system performance.

Identify, prioritize, and report software defects using bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Zoho Projects).

Conduct performance testing to assess application scalability, reliability, and responsiveness.

Analyze test results and collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Continuously improve and optimize automated test scripts and frameworks for efficiency and reliability.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in automation testing, API testing, and performance testing.

Mentor junior QA team members and provide guidance on automation best practices and techniques.

Leverage AI-assisted development tools (preferably Claude) to accelerate the creation and maintenance of automation test scripts, API test cases, performance test scenarios, and test documentation.

Generate, refactor,



and optimize Selenium, API, and performance automation scripts using AI while ensuring adherence to coding standards, framework guidelines, and testing best practices.

Use AI tools to create test scenarios, edge-case coverage, test data, assertions, and defect analysis to improve automation effectiveness.

Review and validate AI-generated automation scripts for accuracy, maintainability, reliability, security, and production readiness.

Collaborate with development teams to utilize AI for root cause analysis, debugging failed test cases, and improving overall test coverage.

Minimum 2 years of experience working in QA Automation.

Proven experience in automation testing using Selenium WebDriver for web UI testing.

Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.

Experience with API testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Postman).

Knowledge of performance testing concepts and tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).

Solid understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Solid communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Hands-on experience using AI-powered coding assistants such as Claude (preferred), GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools for automation test development.

Ability to use AI tools for generating Selenium WebDriver scripts, API automation, JMeter/Gatling performance scripts, test data, and automation documentation.





Strong understanding of validating AI-generated automation scripts to ensure correctness, stability, maintainability, and adherence to framework standards.

Experience in prompt engineering for QA automation and software testing is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications (not required, but a plus):

Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or relevant testing tools (e.g., Selenium).

Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and serverless architectures.

Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

Familiarity with SQL and database testing concepts.

Experience integrating AI-assisted automation into CI/CD pipelines and Agile testing workflows.

Familiarity with AI-driven test case generation, self-healing automation frameworks, visual regression testing, and intelligent test execution.

Knowledge of AI-assisted defect analysis,.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
