We are looking for a Purchase & Stores professional with hands-on experience in a manufacturing plant to manage procurement, inventory and day-to-day stores operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle purchase of raw materials, consumables, packaging materials, spares, engineering and plant requirements.
- Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements and negotiate with vendors.
- Raise Purchase Orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Accounts and vendors for material requirements.
- Manage material inward, GRN, storage and material issuance.
- Maintain accurate stock records and conduct regular physical stock verification.
- Monitor minimum/reorder levels and ensure timely procurement to avoid shortages.
- Track slow-moving, excess and critical inventory.
- Handle vendor follow-ups, purchase documentation and reporting.
- Ensure proper documentation and systematic management of plant stores.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate/Diploma in Purchase, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Commerce or related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Purchase & Stores, preferably in a manufacturing/plant environment.
- Experience in plastic/packaging or other manufacturing industries will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, inventory management, vendor coordination.
- Solid negotiation, follow-up and communication skills.
- Should be hands-on, organized and capable of independently managing plant Purchase & Stores activities.
