Responsibilities

- Raise and issue purchase orders for raw material (castings, forgings, bar stock), bought-out items, consumables, tooling and hardware
- Vendor development — identify and develop new vendors for every item and every process (machining, heat treatment, plating, painting, fabrication); build and maintain at least two to three sources per item
- Cost reduction — negotiate rates, compare quotations, work continuously on bringing down landed cost of purchased items and processes




- Work primarily on the company ERP system for indents, POs, GRN, stock and issue entries; Tally for accounting entries
- Maintain GRN, material inward register, rejection and return records
- Physical store management — binning, item coding, FIFO, monthly physical stock verification
- Maintain minimum/reorder levels; raise indents before stockout
- Match PO – Invoice – GRN; hand over verified bills to accounts
- Issue material to production against job cards
- Track and transparent pending material lying at vendor end

Requirements

- Graduate / Diploma; 3+ years of direct purchase and store experience in an engineering, auto-component or fabrication unit — this is not a trainee position
- Proven record of vendor development and cost saving
- Comfortable working on ERP software; working knowledge of Tally and Excel
- Familiar with GST, e-way bill and HSN

Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000/month
