Barai Furniture is looking for an experienced and responsible Purchase Manager to manage the complete purchase and procurement process for our furniture manufacturing operations.
The candidate will be responsible for material sourcing, vendor management, price negotiation, purchase orders, material availability and timely delivery to ensure smooth production.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day purchase and procurement activities.
- Source raw materials required for furniture manufacturing.
- Identify, evaluate and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate price, quality, payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Collect and compare quotations from multiple vendors.
- Prepare and manage Purchase Orders (POs).
- Coordinate with the Production, Store, Accounts and Management teams for material requirements.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays.
- Monitor pending purchase orders and follow up with vendors for timely delivery.
- Maintain vendor records, purchase records and quotation comparisons.
- Monitor material prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Check material quality and quantity received against purchase orders.
- Resolve vendor-related issues regarding quality, price, quantity and delivery.
- Maintain proper purchase documentation and records in ERP/Excel.
- Develop long-term relationships with reliable suppliers.
- Regularly search for alternative suppliers and better market prices.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
