- Job Title: Purchase Executive – Ship Chandler / Marine Spare Parts

- Handle procurement of technical items, ship spare parts, and marine supplies as per vessel requirements.

- Source and identify reliable suppliers for marine and engineering items.

- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate with vendors.

- Procure mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other marine spare parts.

- Understand vessel requisitions, specifications, part numbers, and technical descriptions.

- Coordinate with suppliers regarding availability, pricing, and delivery schedules.

- Ensure timely procurement for urgent vessel requirements.

- Verify the quality, quantity, specifications, and required documents before dispatch.

- Maintain purchase orders, quotations, vendor records, and procurement documentation.

- Coordinate with Stores, Sales, Operations, and Logistics teams.

- Follow up on pending orders and ensure on-time delivery.

- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor network for marine spare parts.

- Handle urgent and short-lead-time procurement requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end purchase activities for marine and technical spare parts.

- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices and favorable purchase terms.





- Ensure materials are procured according to required specifications and delivery schedules.

- Maintain accurate procurement records and vendor documentation.

- Resolve supplier-related issues and ensure smooth material availability.

- Support urgent vessel requirements through quick sourcing and procurement.

Eligibility

- Experience: Minimum 2–5 years in Purchase / Procurement.

- Experience in any manufacturing industry involving technical items is preferred.

- Candidates with experience in Ship Chandler, Marine, Shipping, Engineering, or Industrial Spare Parts will be preferred.

- Qualification: Any Degree / Diploma.

- Knowledge of ship spare parts and technical items is preferred.

- Good understanding of mechanical and electrical components.

Required Skills

- Ability to read and understand technical specifications, part numbers, and catalogues.

- Positive negotiation and vendor management skills.

- Good knowledge of MS Excel and email communication.

- Strong follow-up and coordination skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent vessel requirements.

- Good English communication skills.

Salary
