Role Description The Purchase Manager will oversee end-to-end procurement activities for construction and real estate projects, ensuring timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, issuing purchase orders, and monitoring delivery schedules.

The role involves coordinating with project, site, and finance teams to align purchasing with project timelines and budgets, as well as maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records.

Manager will also track market trends, assess material quality, and address vendor or internal stakeholder issues to support smooth operations.



This is a full time, on-site role based in Chennai.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to evaluate vendor performance, compare quotations, and optimize cost and quality.
- Candidates should possess Operations Management skills to handle procurement workflows, coordinate with project teams, and support construction timelines.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams in a clear and professional manner.
- Candidates should possess Inventory Management skills to track stock levels, forecast material requirements, and maintain accurate records.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to manage stakeholder expectations, resolve procurement-related issues, and support internal clients.
- Relevant experience in purchasing or supply chain, preferably in construction or real estate.
- Knowledge of procurement software or ERP systems and basic MS Office proficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong negotiation abilities, attention to detail, and adherence to ethical and compliant buying practices.
