Role Summary

We're looking for a current or retired professor of Electronics, or Electrical (design, communication systems, or embedded systems background especially relevant) to write technical content that brings genuine academic rigor to how we explain protocol test and measurement to a professional engineering audience.

This isn't a research-writing role. It's a chance to apply decades of teaching and subject-matter depth to explaining real-world engineering problems bus protocols, signal integrity, compliance testing, debug methodology in a way that's rigorous but accessible to working engineers. Many academics are excellent at exactly this kind of explanatory writing.

What You'll Do

- Write application notes and whitepapers explaining protocol concepts (e.g., PCIe link training, UFS command architecture, I3C bus arbitration) with the clarity of a valuable lecture and the precision of a technical paper
- Author eBooks and long-form technical guides that serve as reference material for engineers learning a new protocol or standard
- Contribute industry news/analysis commentary on emerging standards, spec revisions, and technology trends bringing an informed, credible voice
- Partner with Prodigy's engineering and product teams to review technical accuracy and translate internal engineering knowledge into publishable content
- Mentor or review the work of other content writers on the team,



ensuring technical rigor across all published material
- Set your own pace within agreed milestones

What You Need

- Current or emeritus/retired faculty position in Electronics, Electrical Engineering
- Strong grounding in digital systems, communication protocols, or embedded design (specific protocol expertise is a bonus, not a requirement we can help fill in product-specific detail)
- A track record of writing clearly for technical audiences lecture notes, textbooks, research papers, or technical articles all count
- Genuine curiosity about industry applications of academic concepts, and willingness to learn Prodigy's product portfolio in depth
- Comfort working independently and asynchronously with other internal teams

Nice to Have

- Prior industry consulting or applied research experience alongside academic work
- Published textbook chapters, technical articles, or course content
- Familiarity with semiconductor test and measurement, protocol analysis, or related validation tools
- Interest in occasional webinar or video content (explaining concepts on camera)
