About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to lead the execution of civil construction and interior fit-out projects from project initiation through completion and handover.
The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, according to approved designs and specifications, and to the required quality and safety standards .
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the Architecture & Interior Design industry , with hands-on exposure to site execution, contractor management, project planning, procurement coordination, quality control and client management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Execution
- Take overall responsibility for the successful execution and completion of assigned projects.
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, milestones and resource requirements.
- Plan and coordinate civil, architectural, interior and MEP activities.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify potential delays.
- Establish priorities and coordinate multiple activities to ensure smooth project execution.
- Take corrective action when projects deviate from approved timelines, budgets or specifications.
2. Site Execution & Construction Management
- Manage day-to-day execution of civil construction and interior fit-out works.
- Coordinate site engineers, supervisors, contractors, subcontractors and vendors.
- Ensure construction activities are executed as per approved drawings, specifications and BOQs.
- Monitor site productivity, manpower deployment and material availability.
- Coordinate activities including:
- Civil and masonry works
- Flooring and tiling
- False ceilings
- Drywall and partitions
- Carpentry and joinery
- Painting and finishes
- Electrical works
- Plumbing
- HVAC
- Fire-fighting and fire alarm systems
- Other MEP and specialist works
3. Architecture & Interior Design Coordination
- Coordinate closely with architects, interior designers, consultants and clients.
- Review architectural, structural, interior and MEP drawings before execution.
- Ensure design intent is accurately implemented at site.
- Identify drawing discrepancies, design conflicts and site constraints.
- Coordinate RFIs, drawing revisions, approvals and design clarifications.
- Review shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups and finishes.
- Coordinate with the design team to resolve execution-related design issues quickly.
4. Contractor & Subcontractor Management
- Manage and coordinate civil, interior and MEP contractors and subcontractors.
- Monitor contractor performance, productivity and quality of work.
- Ensure contractors deploy adequate manpower, materials, tools and equipment.
- Conduct regular contractor review meetings.
- Resolve site-level coordination and execution issues.
- Ensure contractors adhere to project schedules and contractual requirements.
5. Procurement & Material Coordination
- Coordinate project material requirements with procurement and commercial teams.
- Prepare and monitor material requirement schedules.
- Ensure timely availability of materials at site.
- Review material samples and coordinate approvals with clients/designers.
- Monitor material quality and ensure approved specifications are followed.
- Minimize material wastage and unnecessary project costs.
6. Cost & Budget Control
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
- Track BOQ quantities, variations, additional works and potential cost overruns.
- Review contractor measurements and bills.
- Evaluate variation and change-order requirements.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Coordinate with commercial/accounts teams regarding project billing and payments.
7. Quality Management
- Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of civil and interior works.
- Ensure proper installation and finishing standards.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Maintain project quality documentation.
- Conduct snagging and ensure timely closure of defects before handover.
8. Project Schedule & Progress Monitoring
- Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules.
- Track daily and weekly progress against planned targets.
- Identify critical activities and project dependencies.
- Prepare recovery plans for delayed activities.
- Monitor contractor schedules and manpower productivity.
- Provide regular progress reports to senior management and clients.
9. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the key project coordination point for clients.
- Conduct regular client meetings and project reviews.
- Present project progress, milestones, risks and upcoming activities.
- Communicate project delays, variations and technical issues proactively.
- Manage client expectations and resolve project-related concerns.
- Coordinate approvals and decisions required from clients and consultants.
10. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable construction safety standards and site regulations.
- Ensure contractors follow required safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Conduct regular site safety reviews.
- Identify potential safety risks and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain good housekeeping and site discipline.
11. Project Documentation & Handover
- Maintain project drawings, schedules, BOQs, approvals and correspondence.
- Maintain RFIs, material approvals, inspection records and variation documentation.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project reports.
- Coordinate preparation of as-built drawings and O&M; documentation.
- Manage final snagging and rectification.
- Coordinate project completion, client inspection and final handover.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch.) will be an advantage.
- A PMP (Project Management Professional) certification will be an advantage.
Experience
- 5+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Strong experience in Architecture & Interior Design, Civil Construction and/or Interior Fit-Out projects .
- Experience managing projects from planning through execution and final handover.
- Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, vendors and site teams.
- Experience working with architects, interior designers, consultants and clients.

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a hands-on Project Manager with 5+ years of experience in architecture, interior design, civil construction or interior fit-out projects , who can independently manage projects from planning to handover. The candidate should be equally comfortable working on-site, coordinating with architects and designers, managing contractors, solving execution problems, monitoring project costs and schedules, and communicating with clients and senior management .
Preference will be given to candidates with B.Arch., Civil Engineering/Construction Management qualifications and PMP certification, along with proven experience delivering high-quality civil and interior fit-out projects.
