Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead and execute projects involving the design and manufacturing of Critical Alloy Steel/Stainless Steel Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Columns, and High-Pressure Boiler Drums.

The role requires strong expertise in project planning and execution, pressure equipment manufacturing, ASME codes, materials, quality control, NDT techniques, commercial management, ERP systems, and cross-functional team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end execution of projects involving Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Columns, and High-Pressure Boiler Drums.
- Ensure project delivery within defined quality, cost, and timeline targets.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using MS Project; knowledge of Primavera will be an added advantage.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams for smooth project execution.
- Monitor manufacturing progress and ensure adherence to approved project schedules and milestones.
- Ensure compliance with ASME codes, applicable material standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with approved vendors and suppliers for timely availability of critical materials and components.
- Supervise and monitor manufacturing activities, including fabrication, welding, assembly, testing, and inspection.
- Ensure effective implementation of Quality Control and NDT requirements throughout the manufacturing cycle.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors,



third-party inspection agencies, and customers for inspections and project approvals.
- Identify project risks, delays, and bottlenecks and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and cost control activities.
- Handle project-related commercial and contractual matters.
- Ensure effective utilization and compliance of ERP systems, preferably SAP, for project monitoring and documentation.
- Review project progress through regular MIS, dashboards, and management reports.
- Handle contractual obligations, amendments, claims, and customer requirements wherever applicable.
- Support commercial activities related to import/export, taxation, works contracts, and project documentation.
- Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring effective collaboration, accountability, and timely decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to organizational Management Systems related to Quality, Safety, Environment, and Performance Excellence.
- Experience in handling non-ferrous and special metals such as Titanium, Zirconium, Tantalum, and Niobium will be considered an added advantage.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.




- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in execution of Pressure Vessel and Heat Exchanger projects.
- Robust experience in project planning, monitoring, and execution within a heavy engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of Pressure Vessel, Heat Exchanger, Column, and Boiler Drum manufacturing processes.
- In-depth knowledge of ASME Codes, material standards, fabrication processes, and engineering specifications.
- Experience in Quality Control processes, inspection procedures, and NDT techniques.
- Strong proficiency in MS Project.
- Knowledge of Primavera will be preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
- Understanding of commercial and contractual aspects of engineering projects.
- Knowledge of import/export procedures, taxation, and works contract-related matters will be an advantage.
- Exposure to international projects and customer coordination will be preferred.
