We are looking for an experienced ERP Implementation Project Manager on a 6–12 month contractual basis to lead the implementation of a new ERP system.
The ERP will be implemented by an external technology partner. The Project Manager will represent the client's interests and act as the single point of coordination between the client's internal teams and the ERP implementation partner
.
The primary responsibility of this role is to drive the project from planning and requirements through implementation, testing and go-live
, ensuring that the implementation partner delivers the agreed scope, timelines and outcomes.
This is a project ownership and management role
, not a software development role.
Key Responsibilities Own the ERP Implementation
- Take end-to-end ownership of the ERP implementation from the client's side.
- Develop and maintain the project plan, timelines, milestones and deliverables.
- Coordinate with the ERP implementation partner and ensure timely execution.
- Track project progress and ensure the project stays within agreed scope and timelines.
- Identify risks, dependencies and delays and proactively resolve or escalate them.
Coordinate Internal Teams & ERP Partner
- Work closely with relevant teams.
- Understand and document business requirements.
- Ensure requirements are clearly communicated to the ERP partner.
- Coordinate meetings, reviews, decisions, approvals and sign-offs.
- Ensure internal stakeholders provide timely inputs and feedback.
Manage Implementation & Testing
- Coordinate system configuration, customisation and integrations.
- Oversee data migration activities.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Track bugs, issues and pending requirements through to closure.
- Ensure the system is ready for go-live.
- Coordinate user training, implementation and go-live activities.
- Support post-go-live stabilisation and handover.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for the ERP implementation company.
- Hold the implementation partner accountable for agreed timelines and deliverables.
- Review project status and deliverables regularly.
- Escalate critical issues and decisions to client’s leadership.
- Provide regular project updates and reporting to senior management.
Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who has hands-on experience managing ERP implementation projects and can independently drive a project with multiple stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 4-6 years of experience in ERP implementation, IT project management, digital transformation or enterprise applications.
- Experience managing at least one end-to-end ERP implementation .
- Strong experience working with external ERP/technology implementation partners.
- Experience across requirements, implementation, UAT, data migration and go-live.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive teams towards deadlines.
- Strong communication, follow-up and problem-solving abilities.
Relevant Backgrounds Candidates from the following backgrounds would be suitable:
- ERP Implementation Project Manager
- SAP Project Manager with end-to-end implementation experience
- IT Project Manager – Enterprise Applications
- ERP Functional Consultant with strong project management experience
- Digital Transformation Project Manager
- Business Systems / ERP Manager
SAP experience is not mandatory. Candidates with SAP project management experience will be considered if they have successfully managed broader ERP implementation projects.
Contract Duration
6-12 months

The role is specifically intended for an experienced qualified who can come in, take ownership of the ERP implementation, drive the external partner and ensure successful delivery and go-live.
