Qualifications

About the Project

Bitiya: The project adopts a life-cycle approach targeting three age groups: 0-5 years (Early Childhood), 6-12 years (Growing Minds), and 13-18 years (Emerging Adulthood). This is a comprehensive intervention program across the catchment areas of 10 of its production units of Hindalco, spread across six states-Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Odisha, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.

The program is expected to directly benefit 50,000 girls across 534 villages over three years with the aim of transforming the status of girl children and contribute to significant improvements in their education access, nutrition and health outcomes, menstrual hygiene, digital safety, and adolescent empowerment. This project is supported by Hindalco under its CSR initiative, and the project geography is spread across its production units in seven states.

About the Role





The Program officer will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing project implementation for 10 Hindalco units, overseeing effective execution of activities across units, robust engagement with government stakeholders, and quality supervision of unit coordinators.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervision and Management

- Provide regular guidance, supervision, and handholding support to Unit Coordinators

- Clearly communicate programme priorities, plans, targets, and expected deliverables to Unit Coordinators

- Support Unit Coordinators in planning and prioritising field activities

- Build the capacity of Unit Coordinators through regular mentoring, coaching, and on-the-job support.

- Program Implementation and Coordination

- Ensure effective implementation of programme activities in line with donor approved plans

- Support Unit Coordinators in coordinating with government departments, frontline workers, community institutions, and other relevant stakeholders

- Identify implementation challenges and facilitate timely resolution in coordination with the leadership team

- Monitoring, Review and Quality Assurance

- Monitor the performance and progress of each Hindalco unit against agreed deliverables

- Conduct regular review meetings with Unit Coordinators to assess progress, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective actions





- Regularly review field-level implementation and assess the quality of programme activities

- Review reports and data submitted by Unit Coordinators via MIS and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission

- Track key programme indicators and support the team in using data for programme improvement.

- Reporting and Documentation

- Consolidate inputs and reports received from Unit Coordinators for programme-level reporting

- Prepare periodic progress updates, donor reports, and other programme documentation as required

- Ensure systematic documentation of programme activities, learnings, challenges, and good practices

- Support preparation of presentations and updates for internal and external reviews

- Stakeholder Engagement

- Support coordination with government and other programme stakeholders at the relevant (district/state/national) level

- Participate in review meetings, workshops, trainings, and other programme forums

- Maintain effective communication and working relationships with key stakeholders

- Represent the programme in relevant meetings and forums, as delegated
