Role Description The Professor role at Kerala Academy of Pharmacy is a full-time, on-site position based in Trivandrum. The Professor will be responsible for planning and delivering lectures and practical sessions, guiding learners through core and advanced topics in pharmacy. Daily activities include preparing course materials, assessing learner performance through examinations and assignments, and providing academic counseling and mentoring.

The Professor will also be expected to contribute to curriculum development, participate in departmental meetings, support accreditation and quality assurance processes, and engage in research or scholarly activities as appropriate. Collaboration with colleagues, participation in academic events,



and adherence to institutional policies and skilled standards are integral parts of the role.

Qualifications

- Advanced degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm or Ph.D. in a relevant specialization) from a recognized institution.
- Teaching and mentoring experience in pharmacy or related health sciences at undergraduate level, preferably in a college or university setting.
- Strong knowledge of core pharmacy subjects such as pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, and clinical pharmacy.
- Proven ability to design course content, deliver lectures effectively, and assess learner performance fairly and transparently.
- Research aptitude, including experience in conducting studies, publishing in academic or qualified journals, or participating in scientific conferences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to explain complex concepts clearly and accessibly.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle teaching load, evaluation, and academic administration responsibilities.
- Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered teaching practices and adherence to ethical and qualified standards.
- Familiarity with modern teaching aids, basic digital tools, and learning management systems is an advantage.
- Registration with relevant pharmacy council or professional body, where applicable, is preferred.
