Job Role

Production Supervisor

- Supervise and coordinate daily shop-floor production activities in sheet metal fabrication.

- Plan manpower, machine allocation, and material flow to achieve production targets.

- Monitor production processes including cutting, bending, punching, forming, welding, polishing, and finishing.

- Ensure production schedules are followed and coordinate with PPC/planning teams for timely dispatch.

- Monitor quality standards for stainless steel fabrication used in beverage and food-processing applications.

- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and food-grade quality requirements.

- Conduct in-process inspections and coordinate with QC/QA teams to minimize rejection and rework.

- Maintain production records, daily reports, downtime logs, and rejection reports.

- Train, guide, and supervise shop-floor workers and operators.

- Coordinate with the maintenance team for machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance.

- Implement 5S, workplace safety, and continuous improvement practices.

- Ensure optimum utilization of raw materials such as SS sheets/coils and minimize material wastage.

Key Responsibilities

Production &

- Shop-Floor Management:

- Manage day-to-day production activities and ensure timely completion of job orders.

- Allocate manpower and machines according to production requirements.

- Monitor productivity and ensure achievement of daily production targets.

- Handle production-related issues and take corrective actions.

Sheet Metal Fabrication

- Supervise laser cutting, bending, punching, welding, polishing, and buffing operations.

- Ensure proper fabrication of stainless steel tanks, vessels, piping, cans, and beverage-processing equipment.





- Verify proper material usage and minimize wastage.

Quality &

- Compliance

- Ensure products meet required quality specifications and customer requirements.

- Monitor fabrication quality and coordinate with QC/QA teams.

- Ensure compliance with food-grade hygiene and safety standards.

- Control rejection, rework, and production defects.

Manpower Management

- Supervise and allocate workers and machine operators.

- Train employees on production procedures, safety practices, and quality requirements.

- Maintain discipline and productivity on the shop floor.

Maintenance Coordination

- Coordinate with the maintenance team during machine breakdowns.

- Support preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime.

- Report recurring machine issues and assist in implementing corrective measures.

Documentation &

- Reporting

- Maintain daily production reports and records.

- Track machine downtime, rejection, rework, and material consumption.

- Prepare production-related reports using MS Excel and other systems.

Required Skills &

- Experience

- Experience: 3–6 years of supervisory experience in sheet metal fabrication.

- Preferred Industry: Beverage / Food Processing / Manufacturing.

- Prior experience with SS tanks, vessels, cans, piping, or beverage-processing equipment is highly preferred.

- Good knowledge of laser cutting, bending, welding (TIG/MIG), polishing, and buffing.

- Knowledge of stainless steel grades such as SS 304 and SS 316.

- Basic understanding of food-grade equipment quality and hygiene requirements.

- Strong leadership and team-management skills.

- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel and production reporting.

- Positive communication skills in Tamil, Hindi, and English.
