Position Summary The Fabrication Supervisor directly manages and oversees shop-floor manufacturing activities, ensuring metal cutting, welding, machining, and assembly conform to quality specs, timelines, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Shop-Floor Leadership & Workflow: Assign daily tasks, schedule shift coverage, monitor work progress, and resolve bottleneck issues.
- Technical Execution: Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols (GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW) to guide workers through setup, fit-up, cutting, bending, and assembly.
- Quality & Compliance: Inspect completed or in-progress fabrications against Engineering/QA specifications, weld standards (AWS/ASME), and dimensional tolerances.
- Safety & Environment: Enforce shop safety protocols (OSHA compliance,



mandatory PPE, machinery guarding) and drive 5S/housekeeping practices.
- Resource & Inventory Management: Monitor raw material (plates, beams, pipes) and welding consumable usage to ensure steady shop supply without excessive waste.
- Maintenance Coordination: Report machine breakdowns promptly and coordinate preventative maintenance programs for presses, shears, CNC cutters, and welders.

Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication Technology, or related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Experience: 3–5+ years in a Fabrication, sheet metal, structural steel, or heavy machinery fabrication workshop, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Core Competencies: Strong command of welding processes, blueprint reading, GD&T;, and lean principles.
- Software: Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) for job tracking and MS Office.

Pay: ₹11,019.96 - ₹32,381.68 per month
