What you'll actually do

What you'll own

- The individual's product: one place for a person in India to see every consent they have given, understand what it actually permits, and withdraw it without a fight — comprehension is the product, and it has to hold in up to 22 Eighth Schedule languages
- The organisation's product: notice and consent collection a Data Fiduciary can deploy without redesigning its own signup, plus rights requests and grievance handling that close inside a statutory clock
- The consent artefact and the integration contract: the machine-readable record and the API surface Data Fiduciaries build against — you define what it has to carry and why
- Registration readiness as product scope: data-blind architecture, tamper-evident records held seven years, a published grievance mechanism, and a published revenue model — turned into a release plan rather than a paragraph in a compliance file
- The beta programme: three organisations live by the end of November and ten by the end of December — onboarding, integration support, and an honest record of what they used and what they ignored

The hard part

- You cannot look at the data — personal data routed through the platform must not be readable by us; you will make product decisions about flows you can never inspect

- Consent has to be understood, not just recorded — making a notice comprehensible across 22 languages, at a reading level that does not assume a law degree, is the design problem of the whole product
- Withdrawal has to actually arrive — reliably, to every connected organisation, provable seven years later; you decide what we promise, in how long, and what a user sees when it fails
- Nobody has done this — zero entities are registered; there is no incumbent to benchmark against and no category-defining competitor whose roadmap you can read

- The dates are not ours to move — November 2026 for registration, May 2027 for obligations; scope is the only variable, and you will be cutting things you like

Minimum qualification

- 4 years of experience in product management, or 2 years with an advanced degree — or equivalent practical experience
- 2 years owning a product area end to end, accountable for what shipped rather than for keeping a backlog tidy

- 2 years taking a product from a written problem to launch, including at least one release another team had to integrate against
- Experience shipping against a written external requirement — a regulation, a standard, a scheme specification, an audited contract or a security review — where the text constrained what you were allowed to build
- The ability to write a specification an engineer can build from without a meeting to explain it

- Comfort with APIs, data models and system diagrams: enough to read a contract and say where it will hurt
- Direct contact with the people who use the product and the people who buy it, rather than through a research function

Preferred

- Consent, identity or privacy tooling — CIAM, customer data platforms, consent management platforms, DSR/DSAR automation, or preference management
- India's public digital infrastructure from the inside: Account Aggregator and the DEPA consent artefact, DigiLocker, UPI, ONDC or a similar scheme where an interoperability spec set the constraints

- A two-sided or B2C2B product where the person using it and the organisation paying for it wanted different things
- Products shipped in Indian languages beyond English, with comprehension measured rather than assumed
- Developer-facing products: SDKs, integration guides, and responsibility for whether anyone actually integrated

- Having read the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025 yourself
- Work that has been examined by an auditor, a regulator or an external assessor, and survived it

- Hybrid working style with anchor at our Grandthum office in Greater Noida, Tech Zone IV
- Defined core collaboration hours — outside that, flex your day around its natural shape

- Architecture decisions get written down and argued in the open. Small, reviewable changes. Depth is valued over volume
- Company-issued devices and approved tooling for anything touching customer or compliance data.

B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in CS/IT, or equivalent demonstrated experience — we mean the second part

- Offers are subject to standard background verification, which we will explain before we ask for anything

07 How we'll interview you
- A 30-minute conversation with our Head of Engineering

- A code and architecture discussion on something you have built and can talk about honestly
- A conversation with the founder about the company, the regulation and where this goes
- Four stages.

We aim to complete them inside two weeks and to give you a decision either way

08 Being straight with you about the stage
- We will be eighteen people, pre-revenue, with a product that has to be right before a regulator looks at it
- Real ownership and a real, dated market opening — the decisions are actually yours
- The downside: it is early, the hours around MVP will be uneven, and some of what you build you will rebuild
- We use your application only to assess you for this role, we keep it no longer than we need it, and we will tell you what we hold if you ask — every hiring decision here is made by a person
