Profile: Export -Pricing Manager

Location: Fort MUMBAI

Roles and Responsibilities

- Solid understanding and intelligence of prevailing freight market scenarios, rate trends, capacity conditions, carrier strategies, and competitive pricing across major trade lanes.
- Must have strong practical knowledge of Ocean and Air Export freight pricing , including freight rates, surcharges, local charges, routing, transit times, and applicable commercial terms.
- Must be an excellent negotiator with proven ability to negotiate competitive and profitable rates with:

1. Shipping Lines
2. Airlines / Airline Carriers
3. NVOCCs and Consolidators
4. Co-loaders
5. Local Transporters and Vendors
6. Other relevant logistics service providers

- Must have the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships and rapport with shipping companies, airlines, consolidators, overseas agents, and local vendors .
- Strong ability to source competitive rates while ensuring the company's required profitability and service standards.




- Should be well connected within the freight forwarding industry and have a good understanding of prevailing market rates.
- Ability to provide quick, accurate, and commercially viable pricing solutions to the Sales and Business Development teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to compare rates, evaluate routing options, analyze margins, and identify the most commercially suitable solution.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, coordination, and negotiation skills.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 5-10 years of experience in export pricing management or a related field (e.g., import/export import).
- Strong understanding of export regulations, tariffs, taxes, and trade agreements.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel) for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- Experience working with freight forwarders or third-party logistics providers is an asset.
