Key Responsibilities

Power BI Development & Visualization

- Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports aligned with business KPIs and analytics needs.
- Build complex data models, measures, and calculated columns using DAX.
- Implement best practices for data visualization, storytelling, and usability.
- Optimize Power BI reports for performance, scalability, and refresh efficiency.
- Manage Power BI Service components including workspaces, datasets, dataflows, gateways, and row-level security (RLS).

Data Modeling & Integration

- Design and maintain star and snowflake schemas for analytical reporting.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data using Power Query (M language).
- Integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, and cloud-based platforms.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports.

Stakeholder Collaboration

- Engage with business users, product owners, and data teams to gather and understand reporting requirements.
- Translate functional requirements into technical BI solutions.
- Conduct demos, walkthroughs, and training sessions for end users.
- Support UAT and incorporate feedback into final deliverables.

Governance, Security & Best Practices

- Implement and manage data security models, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
- Follow enterprise BI governance, version control, and deployment standards.




- Ensure compliance with data privacy and information security guidelines.
- Document technical designs, data models, and report logic.

Support & Continuous Improvement

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to report accuracy, refresh failures, and performance.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance existing dashboards and BI solutions.
- Stay current with new Power BI features, Azure BI services, and industry best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Required Skill
- 4–8 years of experience in Business Intelligence / Analytics, with solid Power BI expertise.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Strong proficiency in DAX (CALCULATE, FILTER, time intelligence, performance optimization).
- Solid knowledge of Power Query (M) for data transformation.
- Strong SQL skills (complex joins, CTEs, performance tuning).
- Experience with data modeling concepts (fact/dimension tables, star schema).
- Familiarity with Azure data services (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory) is highly desirable.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to convert business problems into actionable analytics solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
