Planning Engineer To plan and integrate the operations of an organisation and optimise resource utilization. To monitor and maintain operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
1. Production planning & scheduling:
- Lead production planning and forecasting to optimize team utilization and reduce operating costs.
- Develop a detailed Master Production Schedule (MPS) in close collaboration with the production team every week for both Make-to-Stock (MTS) and Make-to-Order (MTO) products.
- Coordinate with the factory team to prepare factory layouts and conduct weekly mould planning aligned with the MPS.
- Monitor daily production performance and conduct delay analysis; visit sites or factories as needed to address any issues affecting production or erection schedules.
- Prepare detailed dispatch and erection schedules for individual projects, and support communication between production, dispatch, and site project teams to ensure timely execution.
- Provide a work breakdown structure (WBS) in coordination with the quantity surveyor and other teams.
2. Resource planning:
- Conduct weekly resource planning in collaboration with design, procurement,
erection and production teams to optimise material, manpower and equipment usage at both the factory and site levels.
3. Cross-functional coordination:
- Serve as a liaison between production, site, design, and procurement teams to ensure effective resource utilization, maximize operational efficiency, and improve working capital management.
4. Problem identification & opportunity analysis:
- Identify operational problems and potential process-improvement opportunities, and propose solutions to enhance overall efficiency.

Education
Degree Level: Master's/Degree Field of Study: Construction management.
Previous Experience: 3-4 yrs of relevant experience, Precast experience is mandatory
Technical Skills: Conflict management, interpersonal skills, and a strong grasp of resource planning concepts.
