Position Overview

We invite applications for Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, and Senior Residents in Physiology.

The role involves teaching Physiology to MBBS students, conducting practical and laboratory sessions, mentoring students, participating in academic activities, and contributing to research and departmental development.

Candidates with strong academic credentials, teaching aptitude, and an interest in medical education and research are encouraged to apply.





Key Responsibilities

- Conduct lectures and teaching sessions in Human Physiology and related areas for MBBS students.
- Conduct practical classes, demonstrations, tutorials, and laboratory teaching.
- Train students in clinical physiology and application of physiological concepts to clinical medicine.
- Conduct practical sessions covering areas such as hematology, clinical physiology, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, renal physiology, gastrointestinal physiology, neurophysiology, and endocrine physiology.
- Guide and mentor undergraduate medical students in theoretical and practical aspects of Physiology.
- Demonstrate and supervise the use of laboratory equipment and physiological recording techniques.
- Conduct tutorials, seminars, small-group discussions, case-based learning, and other academic activities.
- Participate in MBBS curriculum planning, academic schedules, and departmental teaching programs.
- Conduct internal assessments, practical examinations, viva-voce, and other academic evaluations as assigned.
- Develop and maintain teaching materials, laboratory resources, practical manuals, and academic records.
- Participate in departmental meetings, CME programs, workshops, conferences, and other academic activities.
- Participate in research projects, publications, presentations, and academic collaborations.




- Encourage students to participate in research and academic activities.
- Maintain appropriate student attendance, assessment records, laboratory records, and departmental documentation.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the Physiology Department and its teaching methodologies.
- Collaborate with pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical departments for integrated medical education.
- Ensure compliance with applicable NMC guidelines, university regulations, institutional policies, and academic standards.

Eligibility:

Qualification:

- MBBS/ MSC Phd from a recognized medical institution.
- MD/MSC/PHd in Physiology from a recognized institution for faculty positions.
- Postgraduate qualification in Physiology for Senior Resident positions, as applicable.

Experience:

- Experience as per applicable NMC norms for Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor positions.
- Postgraduate candidates fulfilling the applicable eligibility criteria may be considered for Senior Resident positions.

Preferred Skills:

- Strong knowledge of Human Physiology and medical education.
- Good teaching, presentation, and communication skills.
- Experience in undergraduate medical teaching.
- Expertise in practical and laboratory-based Physiology teaching.
- Knowledge of clinical physiology and physiological investigations.
- Good student mentoring and academic coordination skills.
- Interest in medical education, research, publications, and academic activities.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary medical education environment.
