Role Overview

Techiebears is looking for an experienced and proactive PHP Developer with 2+ years of hands-on experience in PHP web development, with strong proficiency in WordPress and Drupal. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain robust web applications, build custom CMS modules and themes, and integrate third-party APIs to deliver high-performance digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and deploy web applications, custom themes, and plugins/modules using PHP, Drupal (8/9/10), and WordPress.
- - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- - Build and integrate RESTful APIs, web services, and third-party tools.
- - Optimize website performance, scalability, responsiveness, and SEO.
- - Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across existing CMS-driven websites.
- - Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, and project managers to deliver projects on schedule.
- - Implement robust website security measures, regular updates, and database backups.

- Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience:



Minimum 2+ years of professional backend web development experience in core PHP and modern PHP frameworks.
- - CMS Expertise: Proven experience developing custom themes, templates, and plugins/modules in WordPress and Drupal.
- - Database Skills: Strong proficiency with MySQL/MariaDB, including writing complex queries and schema design.
- - Front-End Familiarity: Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
- - Version Control: Proficient with Git and cooperative development workflows (branches, pull requests).
- - Workplace & Tools: Familiarity with LAMP/LEMP stacks, Composer, Drush, and WP-CLI.
- - Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills.

- Good to Have

- Experience with headless CMS architectures or GraphQL.
- - Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
- - Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud hosting environments (AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar).
