- Plan and deliver well-structured English lessons in accordance with the prescribed curriculum and school academic plan.

- Teach language, grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing and literature appropriate to the grade level.

- Use learner-centred, activity-based and communicative teaching methodologies.

- Encourage students to express their ideas clearly, confidently and creatively.

- Connect language learning with real-life situations and interdisciplinary learning wherever appropriate.

- Use stories, poems, discussions, role plays, debates, presentations, creative writing and other suitable activities to enhance language acquisition.

- Integrate appropriate digital resources and technology into teaching and learning.

- Differentiate instruction to address varied learning levels, abilities and learning needs.

- Develop students’ reading habits and encourage independent reading.

- Develop students’ ability to write accurately, coherently and creatively.

- Correct students’ written and spoken language constructively.

- Develop appropriate vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar and usage.

- Establish a positive, respectful and inclusive classroom workplace.

- Maintain discipline while promoting student participation and independence.

- Ensure effective utilisation of instructional time.

- Follow the prescribed syllabus and ensure timely completion of the curriculum.

- Maintain lesson plans, teaching records and other academic documentation as required.

- Participate in departmental planning and academic review meetings.





- Collaborate with other English teachers to ensure uniformity and continuity in curriculum delivery.

- Contribute to the preparation of academic resources, question banks, worksheets and teaching materials.

- Suggest improvements to curriculum delivery and language-learning practices.

- Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents regarding students’ academic progress and areas requiring improvement.

- Participate in parent-teacher meetings.

- Maintain confidentiality of student information.

- Use only approved school communication channels for official communication with parents and students.

- Report significant academic, behavioural or welfare concerns to the appropriate school authority.

Qualification & Experience

Essential:

- A relevant Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in English or a related discipline, as applicable to the level taught.

- Recognised teacher-training qualification such as B.Ed./D.El.Ed., as applicable.

- Good command of English communication, both written and spoken.

Desirable:

- Teaching experience in a CBSE/English-medium school.

- Familiarity with competency-based education and experiential/communicative pedagogy.

- Experience in teaching English Literature and Language at the relevant level.

- Experience in literary activities, school publications, debates, drama or public-speaking programmes.

- Proficiency in digital teaching and learning platforms.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
