Role Description The Perioperative Nurse is a full-time, in office role based in Bengaluru. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical protocols. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing patients and operating rooms for surgery, assisting surgical teams during procedures, monitoring patient status, and supporting recovery in the post-anesthesia or recovery area.
The Perioperative
Nurse will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists,
and other healthcare professionals, maintain accurate documentation, and follow infection control and quality standards. The role also includes patient and family education, participation in multidisciplinary meetings, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Strong Nursing and Patient Care skills, with the ability to provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care.
- Proficiency in Operating Room practices, including sterile techniques, instrumentation handling, and perioperative workflows.
- Foundational knowledge of Medicine and Surgery to support clinical decision-making and collaboration with the surgical team.
- Valid nursing license/registration and completion of a recognized nursing program (Bachelor’s or Diploma in Nursing).
- Prior experience in perioperative, surgical, or acute care settings is highly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and respond to emergencies calmly.
- Robust communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory patient care.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, adhere to clinical protocols, and participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives.
