PCB Layout Engineer Senior

Experience: 5–9 Years

- Solid knowledge of electronics, PCB design fundamentals and circuit understanding.

- Hands-on experience in schematic drafting, understanding and review.

- Experience in PCB library creation and management, including symbols, footprints, component/package verification and 3D models.

- Experience in component datasheet interpretation, package selection, alternate components and obsolescence awareness.

- Experience in PCB stack-up planning, board materials, design constraints and controlled-impedance requirements.

- Experience in component placement, fanout and routing for complex multilayer PCB designs, considering power distribution and return paths.

- Experience with high-speed routing, differential pairs, length matching, BGA/FPGA, HDI and high-density designs.

- Experience with rigid, flex and rigid-flex PCB designs, including mixed-signal, high-power/current/voltage applications.





- Working knowledge of IPC standards, DFM, DFT, DFA, EMI/EMC, SI/PI, thermal considerations and PCB manufacturing processes.

- Experience in DRC, design verification, layout reviews and design release, including Gerber/ODB++, NC Drill and fabrication/assembly documentation.

- Understanding of mechanical integration, including board outline, connector placement, enclosure constraints and 3D clearance.

- Tool Proficiency in Cadence Allegro / Allegro X and OrCAD.

- Ability to independently resolve design issues and coordinate with hardware, mechanical, SI/PI, fabrication and assembly teams.

- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation and project-ownership skills, with ability to deliver quality designs within project schedules.
