Blue City Design is a leading manufacturer & exporter of Wooden, Metal and Mango Wood Handicrafts based in Jodhpur. We supply to USA, Europe and Australia markets.

Role Objective

We are looking for a Junior Paint Lab Executive to assist our Paint Lab in color matching, sample making and daily quality checks. This is a learning role for someone who wants to build a career in handicraft paints and finishing.

What You Will Do

Color Matching & Sample Making:

. Assist Senior Executive in making new colors as per buyer Pantone / swatch

. Prepare small sample panels for wood and metal items

. Help in maintaining Shade Card Library and Paint Recipe file.

1. Lab Work:

. Mixing of paints - Acrylic, Water-based, NC Lacquer, PU, Chalk Paint, Distress finish

. Check basic parameters - Viscosity with Ford Cup, Drying Time, Gloss

. Keep lab clean and arrange pigments, chemicals systematically.

2. Production Floor Support:





. Issue approved paint to painters with correct mixing ratio

. Check first-piece finishing on production floor with QA team

. Note down paint consumption and report any shade variation, peeling, fading issues.

3. Testing & Documentation:

. Assist in testing - Cross Cut Adhesion Test, Rub Test, Water Test

. Maintain daily lab register, sample approval register, stock of lab materials

. Learn and follow all export compliance - Lead Free, REACH norms

. Follow safety rules for chemical handling.

Who Can Apply

Education: B.Sc. Chemistry, Diploma in Paint Technology. ITI Paint Technology also considered. Skills Required:

. Basic knowledge of paint / color / chemicals

. Interest in handicrafts finishing Can differentiate shades accurately

. Basic computer knowledge - Excel, Email

. Willing to work on factory floor

We Prefer: Experience in handicraft / furniture paint shop is a plus, not mandatory
