About Hygiene Care Division (Approx. 1350 cr) HCD is into Hygiene, Utensil and Laundry care division. It has five manufacturing units in India and two in Bangladesh & One in Ethiopia. Product segments of RSPL ltd. for international markets are taken care by HCD division. This job role is for RSPL HCD Division (Hygiene Care) - Procurement Department.

Position Title - Procurement Packaging Materials (HYG)

Designation - Officer/ Senior Officer.

Job Purpose -

The incumbent will own end-to-end strategic sourcing, cost management, vendor development and digital procurement performance for all Packaging Material (PM) categories (rigid, flexible, corrugated, labels, closures, print & artwork). The role is accountable for uninterrupted PM supply to production, aggressive cost-out delivery, and building a robust, quality-certified vendor base,



working closely with Production Planning, R&D;, Quality and Marketing.

Responsibilities -

- Ensure >99% PM availability with zero production line-stoppages by building a dynamic safety-stock model and close liaison with production planning for seasonal demand and pack changes.
- Drive supplier OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) performance above 95% across all PM categories through lead-time buffers in POs and a defined escalation matrix for critical delays.

- Cost Leadership
- Deliver 7% year-on-year reduction in PM cost per unit (BOM cost basket) through lightweighting, gauge reduction, print optimisation and specification negotiations.
- Drive Value Engineering (VE) target 20 approved cost-saving projects per year in cross-functional workshops with R&D;, Marketing and QA.
- Manage Purchase Price Variance (PPV) to remain positive against budget through annual rate contracts and index-linked pricing for commodity PMs (BOPP, PET, etc.).
- Vendor Development & Quality Excellence
- Achieve >98% PM first-pass QA acceptance through robust vendor qualification and pre-shipment approval processes for new designs.
- Build and maintain an Approved Vendor List (AVL) ensuring 100% of A-category PM items have 2 qualified alternate suppliers.
- Digital Procurement & Capability Building
- Drive PR-to-PO cycle time to 1 working day for PM items via blanket POs, call-off scheduling and ERP (SAP MM) workflow optimisation.
- Own the artwork / packaging-spec change management process, targeting 15 calendar days turnaround end-to-end, through a standardised SOP, digital colour proofing and supplier print trials.




- Prior experience in an FMCG / Home & Personal Care manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Exposure to a multi-plant / multi-location procurement setup is desirable. Willingness to travel to vendor sites and manufacturing plants (23 days/month).
- Desired Qualification - B.Tech Packaging/Polymer, PGDPT (Indian Institute of Packaging), Diploma in Packaging Technology

Vendor ecosystem ownership — build and govern the Approved Vendor List, drive supplier consolidation and dual-sourcing strategy, and lead supplier performance reviews (OTIF, quality, cost).

New product launch involvement — partner closely with R&D; and Marketing on recent launches and pack-change projects, keeping the role connected to innovation and brand strategy, not just procurement execution.

Digital and process modernization — own ERP (SAP MM) workflow optimization, PR-to-PO cycle efficiency, and standardized artwork change-management SOPs.

Multi-plant exposure — regular travel (5–10 days/month) to vendor sites and manufacturing plants, offering broad exposure across the manufacturing network rather than a desk-bound role.

Direct reporting line to the HOD – Procurement, with monthly performance visibility at leadership level.
