The Role

This is a hands-on surgical position. The primary expectation is clinical operating, managing trauma and elective orthopaedic cases, and delivering positive outcomes for patients.

The role is not administrative by design. You will not be expected to manage hospital operations, handle billing teams, or take ownership of non-clinical departments. A small number of coordination responsibilities exist — surgical planning, case documentation, and implant requirement communication — but these are minor and do not interrupt clinical workflow in any meaningful way.

What You Will Do

Clinical (primary)

- Perform orthopaedic and trauma surgeries across fracture fixation, joint procedures, and elective musculoskeletal cases
- Manage pre-operative evaluation and post-operative care for admitted patients
- Conduct outpatient consultations and follow-up clinics
- Work with anaesthesia and OT teams on surgical scheduling and case preparation
- Ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation for each case — including surgical notes, discharge summaries, and PMJAY/insurance case records

Coordination (minor)

- Communicate implant and instrument requirements to the procurement team in advance of scheduled cases




- Flag clinical observations relevant to patient safety protocols
- Participate in a brief weekly surgical case review (typically under 30 minutes)

That is the full extent of the non-clinical expectation. Everything else is handled by TraumaCure's operations, claims, and administrative teams. Who We Are Looking For

Qualifications

- MS Orthopaedics or DNB Orthopaedics from a recognised institution
- Registered with the Karnataka Medical Council (KMC) or eligible for registration
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification surgical experience

What matters more than credentials

- Comfortable operating independently across trauma and elective cases
- Confident with implant-based fixation across long bone fractures, periarticular fractures, and spine basics
- Able to work within a structured system — documentation, case protocols, and pre-authorisation requirements are part of the model

What we are not looking for

- Someone who wants to build or manage a department from scratch
- A purely academic or subspecialty-only profile with limited trauma exposure.
