We work extensively with Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), Government Authorities, Municipal Corporations, PSUs, and industrial clients across India, delivering sustainable and innovative infrastructure and environmental solutions.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Operation Head – Operations & Business Development to lead the company's overall operational functions while driving business development and growth initiatives.

The role requires strong experience in project execution, operations management, government/PSU projects, tendering, authority coordination, client management, and business development.

The candidate will be responsible for leading operations, improving SOPs and operational efficiency, managing project teams, developing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring successful project execution and profitability.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Project Management

- Lead overall operations, project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
- Ensure projects are completed within defined timelines, budgets, quality, and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress, manpower deployment, productivity, resource utilization, and operational performance.
- Coordinate effectively with Engineering, Purchase, Stores, Finance, HR, Commercial, and Project Teams.
- Develop and implement effective SOPs, systems, and operational processes.
- Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements.
- Manage vendors, subcontractors, consultants, and other external stakeholders.
- Conduct regular project/site visits and resolve operational and execution-related issues.
- Monitor project billing, documentation, MIS, and project closure activities.
- Prepare and review Daily, Weekly,



and Monthly MIS reports for management.
- Oversee operations of executed projects and ensure optimum efficiency and performance.

Government / PSU / ULB Project Management
- Handle Government, PSU, Municipal Corporation, and ULB projects.
- Manage government tenders, project execution, documentation, compliance, and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate with authorities including Municipal Corporations, MIDC, PMRDA, PWD, CPCB, MPCB, Water Supply Departments, and ULBs.
- Liaise with Government officials, consultants, and client representatives.
- Attend client and authority meetings and ensure timely resolution of project-related matters.
- Coordinate for approvals, inspections, statutory requirements, and regulatory compliance.

Business Development & Tendering
- Lead and manage the Business Development function.
- Identify new business opportunities in environmental, infrastructure, water, wastewater, and related sectors.
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with Government Departments, PSUs, Municipal Corporations, ULBs, consultants, and institutional clients.
- Monitor upcoming tenders and project opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams for technical and commercial proposal preparation and submission.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, client discussions, negotiations, and tender-related activities.
- Support strategic business expansion and development initiatives.
- Contribute towards achieving revenue, profitability, and business growth targets.

Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor operations, project, and business development teams.
- Establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and accountability.
- Monitor team productivity and performance.
- Develop team capabilities through coaching and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure effective coordination between departments.
- Drive a culture of accountability,



operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Education / Qualification

Mandatory:

- BE / B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering discipline.

Preferred:

- MBA / PGDM in Operations, Project Management, Business Development, or related discipline.
- Relevant technical certifications or professional training will be an added advantage.

Required Experience & Skills
- 15–20 years of overall experience in Operations, Project Execution, Business Development, or related functions.
- Strong experience in Government / PSU / Municipal / ULB projects.
- Proven experience in EPC, infrastructure, environmental, water treatment, wastewater treatment, or septage management projects.
- Strong knowledge of Government tendering and project execution.
- Experience in handling Government authorities, consultants, and institutional clients.
- Strong exposure to business development, tendering, client relationship management, and proposal coordination.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
- Strong commercial and business-oriented approach with focus on profitability and growth.

Candidates with proven experience in independently handling Government/PSU/ULB projects and client/authority coordination will be strongly preferred.
