Onboarding Manager – Driver RecruitmentAbout the Role

We are looking for an Onboarding Manager to lead and manage a team of Field Recruiters and Telecallers responsible for driver recruitment and onboarding. The role will involve managing the end-to-end driver acquisition process, setting team targets, monitoring performance, and ensuring a steady pipeline of qualified drivers.

The ideal candidate should have strong people management, recruitment, coordination, and target-oriented skills, with the ability to manage field and telecalling teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, manage, and monitor a team of Field Recruiters and Telecallers involved in driver recruitment.
- Set daily, weekly, and monthly recruitment targets for the team and track performance against targets.
- Manage the end-to-end driver recruitment and onboarding process, from lead generation to successful onboarding.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase the driver acquisition pipeline and onboarding numbers.
- Monitor telecaller and field recruiter performance, productivity, conversion rates, and follow-up activities.
- Ensure regular follow-up with prospective drivers and minimize drop-offs throughout the recruitment process.
- Coordinate with Operations and other internal teams to ensure a smooth and timely onboarding process.
- Identify bottlenecks in the recruitment funnel and take corrective actions to improve conversions.
- Conduct regular team meetings, provide feedback, and support team members in achieving their targets.
- Train and guide recruiters and telecallers on recruitment processes, communication, and effective candidate engagement.
- Track and maintain accurate records of leads, contacted drivers, shortlisted candidates, and onboarded drivers.
- Prepare and share regular reports on team performance, recruitment metrics, and onboarding progress.




- Handle escalations and resolve issues faced by the recruitment team or prospective drivers.
- Identify new channels, locations, and approaches for sourcing potential drivers.
- Ensure the team follows company processes and maintains qualified communication with prospective drivers.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Number of qualified driver leads generated
- Driver contact and follow-up rates
- Lead-to-onboarding conversion rate
- Number of drivers successfully onboarded
- Recruiter and telecaller productivity
- Drop-off rate during the onboarding process
- Achievement of weekly and monthly recruitment targets

Requirements

- 2–5 years of experience in recruitment, field recruitment, telecalling, sales, customer acquisition, or a similar target-driven role.
- Prior experience managing a team of recruiters, telecallers, sales executives, or field staff is preferred.
- Strong people management and team leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong follow-up, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working with recruitment targets and performance metrics.
- Ability to manage both field and telecalling teams effectively.
- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets and basic reporting.
- Ability to work in a quick-paced startup workplace.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in driver recruitment, fleet management, logistics, mobility, automotive, delivery, or gig-worker recruitment is an advantage.
- Experience managing high-volume recruitment or field sales teams.
- Familiarity with CRM, recruitment, or lead-management platforms.
- Fluency in English and Tamil; knowledge of Hindi or other regional languages is an advantage.
