Primary Purpose
We are seeking a highly specialized and clinical-facing Product Application Specialist to drive the clinical adoption, installation, and optimization of our advanced Olympus Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and Intestinal Ultrasound (IUS) portfolios across South India. In this role, you will act as the premier technical and clinical expert for healthcare providers, supporting gastroenterologists, and GI nursing staff/technicians in the region.
You will be responsible to execute key marketing campaigns as per the strategy in the assigned regions, pre/post sale demonstration of equipment demonstrations, procedure support and develops and maintains relationship with all the key HCPs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and clinical leadership during and post installation, demonstrating full range of EUS & IUS features/products including potential uses, product capabilities and advantages to customers.
- Develop and deliver product training to customers on equipment use.
- Monitor customer installations of EUS & IUS products to improve customer satisfaction and maintain customer relationships.
- Clinical support & Training: Conduct comprehensive on-site and virtual training for physicians, nurses, technicians, and biomedical engineers on Olympus EUS and IUS equipment.
- Responsible for brand promotion and create modality awareness in the region.
- Handling all conference/workshops independently and generate leads.
- High end demonstration and technical support to sales team alongwith application support to new users.
- Developing good relations with users/clinicians.
- Developing new HCP’’s and project them at all levels.
- Application support for regional and national conferences and workshops.
- Gather info about competitors’ products and their campaigns. Analyse the trend and prepare the strategies in the region to be competitive.
- Must act with highest integrity and depicts sense of ownership.
- Conduct product trainings to sales, service team for the assigned portfolio.
Inherent Requirements Formal Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, electronics. MBA degree will be preferred.
- 6-8 years’ experience in diagnostic and interventional ultrasound application is must.
Key Skills
- Excellent English communication skills (Verbal / Written): Should be able to effectively communicate and interact with clarity, verbally and in writing with proficient e‑mail etiquette.
- Effective coordination and interactive skills, for productive completion of cross‑functional tasks, wherever applicable and assigned.
- High willingness to travel extensively (up to 60-70%) across the South India territory to support multi-site client hospital networks, corporate hospital chains, and clinical centers.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required. Proficiency in at least one or more South Indian languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, or Malayalam) is highly essential to engage effectively with local hospital staff, nurses, and technicians.
