The IT Asset Management and Optimization (ITAMO) service within the IT Department is responsible for managing IT assets to improve control over operational risks and costs. This service globally oversees Cardif’s asset registers and IT management tools to support compliance and risk‑management requirements for our IT activities and to control spending and investments related to our IT footprint. In this regard, the service monitors the health of IT assets by identifying critical components (under‑utilization, toxicity, etc.), helps reduce software spending through the rationalization of publisher contracts and usage, and finally facilitates the identification of optimizations for infrastructure‑service expenditures delivered by the Group’s IT providers.

Position Purpose

Obsolescence governance engineer (confirmed)

The Obsolescence Governance Engineer is responsible for the systematic tracking and management of technology obsolescence across the organization.

By delivering data-driven insights, KPI reporting, and rigorous action plan follow-up, he/she enables proactive risk mitigation and ensures the continuous modernization of the application and infrastructure landscape.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

- Data consolidation & reliability: Gather, validate, and update inventory and lifecycle data for OS, Middleware to ensure a reliable source of truth.
- KPI & dashboard: Maintain and update key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to visualize obsolescence trends and remediation progress.
- Operational follow-up: Track the progress of action plans, send reminders to owners, and report on deadlines and status.
- Coordination support: Act as a point of contact for Squads to collect information and facilitate communication with the COE.
- Basic Analysis: Identify recurring warnings and aging components to alert the governance team.
- Process Application: Apply and promote best practice guides within the operational teams.

- CI/CD & container orchestration basics: Jenkins, XL Release, Kubernetes (knowledge for escalation/problem management discussions; implementation remains with owning teams).
- Language: Fluent in English (mandatory) and If possible fluent in French
