Market Intelligence Reporter – Fresh Produce

- Visit wholesale fruit and vegetable markets regularly.

- Interact with importers, commission agents, wholesalers, semi-wholesalers, retailers, and other market participants.

- Collect daily information on prices, arrivals, demand, stock availability, quality, and market trends.

- Understand the reasons behind price movements and gather traders' expectations about future market conditions.

- Conduct short interviews with traders and other market participants.

- Shoot market walkthroughs, product videos, trader interviews, and daily market updates.

- Present confidently on camera when required.

- Create raw field content suitable for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social media platforms.

- Enter market information accurately into SpotMart's Market Intelligence format.

- Build and maintain professional relationships with traders and market participants.

Coordination With SMMA Team

- Coordinate with the Social Media Marketing Agency (SMMA) team on daily and weekly content planning.

- Identify interesting market stories, trends, and topics for content creation.

- Follow agreed interview, shooting, and content formats.

- Provide quality field footage, photographs, and market information.

- Coordinate with the team regarding scripts, captions, and content requirements.

- Provide accurate facts and market context to support content creation.

- Participate in content calendars and campaign planning.

- Ensure market-related information is accurate before publication.





- Review market content before publication whenever required.

Candidate Requirements

- Education: Graduate in Journalism, Mass Communication, Visual Communication, Marketing, Agriculture, Agri-Business, Commerce, or a suitable discipline.

- Freshers with strong field communication skills can apply.

- Tamil: Excellent spoken Tamil required.

- English: Good communication skills required.

- Comfortable approaching and interviewing unfamiliar people.

- Confident speaking in front of a camera.

- Good smartphone photography and video-shooting skills.

- Basic understanding of Reels, Shorts, and social media content.

- Ability to follow content briefs and work with a creative/SMMA team.

- Curious mindset with the ability to ask intelligent follow-up questions.

- Robust attention to numbers, facts, and accuracy.

- Willingness to make early-morning wholesale market visits.

- Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Selection Process
