Reports To

NPD Manager / Engineering Manager / Plant Head

Role Purpose

Lead the development, industrialization, and launch of new sheet metal components and assemblies, ensuring manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, process capability, and compliance with customer and internal requirements.

The NPD Engineer owns design feasibility, process development, tooling readiness, sample submission (PPAP), and successful transition from prototype to mass production.

Skills & Qualifications

Education

- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering.

Experience

- 2–6 years in sheet metal NPD, fabrication, automotive/white goods/electrical enclosure industry.

Technical Skills

- Sheet metal design (flat pattern, tooling considerations).
- Knowledge of lasers, press brakes, welding, finishing, assembly.
- CAD tools: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, Catia (as applicable).
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC.
- Strong GD&T; interpretation.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
