Role Description This is a full time, on-site L1 Network Engineer role based in Kochi. The L1 Network Engineer will monitor network performance, respond to alerts, and provide first-level diagnosis of connectivity and hardware issues.

Responsibilities include handling customer tickets, troubleshooting broadband and FTTH-related problems, and escalating complex issues to higher-level support as needed. The role involves configuring and maintaining basic network devices, documenting incidents and resolutions, and coordinating with field teams and service partners to ensure timely issue closure. The engineer will also assist in routine maintenance activities, adhere to standard operating procedures, and contribute to continuous service quality improvement.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess foundational networking skills such as understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN concepts, routing, switching, and basic firewall principles.
- Candidates should possess hands-on skills in broadband and FTTH environments, including basic configuration and troubleshooting of routers, ONTs/ONUs,



modems, and related CPE devices.
- Candidates should possess operational support skills including ticket handling, incident management, remote diagnostics, and explicit documentation of issues and resolutions.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to follow standardized procedures and escalate issues appropriately.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with customers, field technicians, and internal teams.
- Relevant educational background such as a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field is beneficial.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA or equivalent entry-level networking certifications are an added advantage.
- Ability to work in shifts, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of reliability and integrity is expected.
