Milling Operate milling machines as per production requirements and drawings. Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances . Set up the machine, including job clamping, tool setting, and workpiece alignment .
Perform milling operations such as facing, slotting, drilling, pocketing, and contouring . Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds as per the material and operation. Check job dimensions using Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, and other measuring instruments .
Ensure the finished component meets quality and dimensional requirements . Identify and rectify basic machine/tool-related issues during operation. Maintain production records and report any quality or machine issues to the supervisor.
Minimize material wastage and ensure timely completion of production targets . Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Tool Room teams when required.
