Role Description The Medical Coding Trainer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. The trainer will design and deliver medical coding curriculum, including lectures, practical exercises, case studies, and assessments aligned with industry standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing training materials, teaching coding systems and guidelines, clarifying medical terminology, and supporting learners through doubt-clearing sessions and mentoring.

The trainer will evaluate learner performance, provide constructive feedback, and recommend improvement plans.



Additional responsibilities include staying current with coding updates and regulations, coordinating with the placement team on learner readiness, and maintaining accurate training records.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Medical Coding and Coding Experience, with practical exposure to commonly used coding systems.

- Candidates should possess knowledge of Health Information Management and Medical Terminology to effectively teach and explain clinical documentation.

- Candidates should possess RHIT or equivalent professional certification, or similar recognized credentials in health information or medical coding.

- Candidates should possess prior experience as a trainer or educator in medical coding or related healthcare domains.

- Candidates should possess excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide diverse learner groups.

- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret clinical records and coding guidelines accurately.

- Candidates should possess proficiency with basic computer applications and learning tools; familiarity with LMS platforms is an advantage.

- Relevant academic background in life sciences, healthcare, or related fields is preferred.
