Role Description The Medical Coding Trainer is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune District, responsible for delivering high-quality training in medical coding to students and early-career professionals. The trainer designs and updates course materials, lesson plans, and assessments to align with current coding standards and industry requirements. Daily responsibilities include conducting classroom and practical sessions, explaining medical terminology and coding guidelines, demonstrating coding workflows, and mentoring learners on best practices in documentation and compliance.

The role also involves evaluating learner performance, providing constructive feedback, supporting exam preparation,



and coordinating with academic and placement teams to ensure participants are job-ready. The trainer maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes, coding updates, and healthcare information management practices to keep training content current and relevant.

Qualifications

- Coding proficiency: Candidates should possess strong Medical Coding and Coding Experience, with hands-on exposure to standard coding systems and guidelines.
- Skilled credentials and domain expertise: Candidates should possess RHIT certification or equivalent qualification, along with knowledge of Health Information Management practices.
- Clinical language and concepts: Candidates should possess solid understanding of Medical Terminology and clinical documentation to accurately interpret and teach healthcare records.
- Training and communication skills: Candidates should possess effective teaching, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse learners.
- Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare, life sciences, or related field; teaching or training experience in medical coding or healthcare education is preferred.
- Additional strengths: Ability to design training content, assess learner performance, use digital tools for teaching, and stay updated with coding and regulatory changes in the healthcare industry.
