Job title: Design Engineer role

Reports to: Project Manager

Experience Required: 2 to 7 Years

Qualification: B.E. / B. Tech – Mechanical / Production / Diploma

Location: Thane west, Wagle Industrial Estate

Job Responsibilities:

1. Understand the requirements and work with different teams to implement new ideas.
2. Create design concept and detail engineering
3. Experience in the field of furniture design and development and Industrial products, strong knowledge in wood and sheet metal products like Office based furniture’s, Technological furniture’s, and storage systems and seating’s
4. Creating 3D models for Sheet metal parts and Wooden parts for various furniture such as Tables, chairs and sofas and creating a manufacturing drawing from the 3D
5. Conduct design review to improve product performance and resolve technical issues.
6. Knowledge in GD&T;, stack up analysis, different industrial standards like ASME,ANSI, JIS, DIN etc.
7. Close co-ordination with customers and supplier.
8. Knowledge of manufacturing / production / assembly processes would be a plus.
9. Hands on experience in various manufacturing processes would be a plus

Desired Skill Set:

1.



Positive in engineering mechanics, strength of materials & theory of machines.
2. A good grasp of engineering and design principles
3. 2 years of core experience in sheet metal design
4. knowledge in Wood & sheet metal Products would be plus
5. Familiar on furniture symbol creation
6. Familiar on products like Overheads, Towers, Pedestals, Storage cabinets, Work surfaces, accessories, metal files, bookcases, seating’s, undersurface files.
7. Good knowledge on any of the 3D modeling software (Autocad / SolidWorks / Pro-E / Autodesk Inventor).
8. Basic understanding of Information Security Management system
