Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and systems for cranes, conveyors, mould carrier cars, storage racks, and pallets. Day-to-day tasks include creating and revising detailed CAD models and drawings, performing basic design calculations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability requirements. The engineer will interact with production and quality teams to resolve design-related issues, support prototyping and testing,



and prepare technical documentation and bills of materials.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, requiring regular coordination with the South Korea head office and local customers.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid skills in Design Engineering and Machine Design for industrial equipment and structures.
- Candidates should possess solid foundations in Mechanical Engineering and Product Design to develop functional and reliable mechanical systems.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar) for 2D/3D modeling and drafting.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials selection, and basic structural and tolerance analysis.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with engineering, production, and international stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred; relevant industry experience in material handling or industrial machinery is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret standards, follow safety and quality requirements, and manage multiple design tasks within timelines.
