Job Summary

As an MBD Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing control algorithms using MATLAB and Simulink. You will design and optimize control systems to enhance performance and efficiency, collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, and ensure compliance through system validation (MIL, SIL, HIL) and verification. Your role will also involve troubleshooting and resolving control system issues, as well as documenting design processes and test procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Convert legacy C/C++ source code into custom Simulink S-functions to integrate existing algorithms into modern model-based design workflows and conduct equivalence testing.
- Design and implement innovative model-based control strategies for complex systems, including but not limited to power electronics, HVAC units, and other transport refrigeration systems.
- Develop energetic models of systems using MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, & Simscape; validate these models through simulation and experimental data.
- Explore new methodologies in advanced controls and develop proof-of-concept prototypes to demonstrate feasibility.




- Stay updated with the latest trends in model-based design and control systems, applying new knowledge to improve existing processes and tools.
- Test and validate control algorithms for new products using SIL and HIL simulations.
- Define system regression test cases and establish pass/fail criteria.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including validation engineers, software developers, and domain experts, to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Prepare technical documents and presentations to communicate findings and project progress to stakeholders.
