Lead technical delivery of Retail Product MDM / PIM solutions using STIBO STEP. Own configuration and customization of STEP Workbench and Web UI for Retail use cases. Act as the primary technical owner for product catalog, assortment, and lifecycle data.
Retail Data Modeling & Hierarchies
- Design and configure retailspecific product hierarchies, including:
- Category Subcategory Product Variant (Style/Color/Size)
- Packaging and bundled products
- Implement multiclassification for:
- eCommerce vs Store vs Marketplace hierarchies
- Configure:
- Core product attributes
- Channelspecific attributes (eCom vs POS)
- Regional / marketspecific attributes (countryspecific compliance)
Supplier Onboarding & Enrichment
- Configure STEP to support supplier product onboarding at scale.
- Implement workflows for:
- Supplier submission
- Data steward validation
- Merchandising and content enrichment
- Final approval and publish
- Enforce retail data quality standards (mandatory attributes, images, GTINs, legal content).
Workflow, Rules & Data Quality (Retail Context)
- Design workflows for recent product introduction (NPI) and assortment changes.
- Configure business rules to ensure:
- Mandatory images before eCommerce publish
- Pricing and unitofmeasure validation
- GTIN / UPC checks
- Implement global and channelspecific data quality controls.
Retail Integrations & Publishing
- Design and support integrations between STIBO STEP and:
- eCommerce platforms (SFCC, Adobe Commerce, custom)
- ERP systems (SAP ECC / S4HANA)
- POS systems
- DAM systems (images, videos)
- Marketplaces (via downstream feeds)
- Implement inbound and outbound interfaces using:
- REST / SOAP APIs
- STEPXML, XML, XSLT
- Batch and incremental publishing models
- Ensure channelspecific publishing with schema variations.
High****Volume Product & Catalog Management
- Support large SKU volumes and frequent assortment updates.
- Optimize STEP configuration for:
- Performance
- Bulk product updates
- Seasonal product rollins and rolloffs
- Resolve production issues affecting catalog availability or publish timelines.
Technical Delivery & Support
- Lead resolution of complex RETAIL production issues (missing products, data defects, failed publishes).
- Support data migration from legacy retail systems or spreadsheets.
- Conduct technical reviews, configuration reviews, and release signoffs.
- Support UAT and business validation cycles with Merchandising and Digital teams.
Team & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Mentor STIBO developers and junior engineers.
- Work closely with:
- Retail Merchandising teams
- Digital / eCommerce teams
- Data Governance and Content teams
- Translate retail business requirements into working STEP configurations.
