Role Summary In this strategic leadership role, you will direct the Test Engineering and Failure Analysis (FA) departments for high-reliability Power Electronics PCBA manufacturing. You will lead custom Automated Test Equipment (ATE) strategy, oversee high-voltage/high-current testing protocols, and direct component & board-level Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to maximize First-Pass Yield (FPY) and product reliability.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategic Leadership: Lead and scale the Test Engineering & FA teams; manage departmental CapEx budgeting for test equipment (ICT, FCT, Flying Probe, Hi-Pot, Burn-in, SEM/EDX, X-ray).
- Test Engineering Strategy: Oversee custom Functional Test (FCT) setups and automated testing for power electronics (SMPS, Inverters, EV Chargers, Motor Drives). Define high-voltage safety standards and implement testing for SiC/GaN topologies.
- Failure Analysis & RCA:



Direct the FA lab utilizing 8D, 5-Why, and Ishikawa methodologies along with diagnostic tools (X-ray, SAM, SEM/EDX, Thermal Imaging) to resolve internal and field failures.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate with SMT and Process Engineering teams to feed failure analysis findings back into manufacturing to eliminate scrap; partner with OEM customers on Design for Testability (DFT).

Requirements

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech or M.E. / M.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Experience: 15+ years in Test Engineering and Failure Analysis within EMS, Automotive Tier-1, or Power Electronics manufacturing environments (with 710 years in management).
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of SMPS, Inverters, BMS, high-voltage test setups (ATE, Hi-Pot, Power Analyzers), and IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IATF 16949).
