Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced pharmaceutical procurement professional to build and lead a robust vendor and distributor network across all current and upcoming store locations. This role is central to ensuring uninterrupted medicine availability, competitive purchase economics, and full regulatory compliance across our multi-city pharmacy operations. The Manager will own end-to-end procurement — from onboarding new-city distributors ahead of store launches, to daily refill coordination, vendor negotiations, and inventory optimization across the network.

For the current base of 12 stores, this is designed as a single-manager role supported by one Procurement Executive / Refill Coordinator handling day-to-day purchase orders and follow-ups, with scope to expand the team as the store count grows.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Development & Onboarding

- Identify, onboard, and verify medicine distributors in every recent city prior to store launch.
- Maintain relationships with distributors, super-stockists, C&F; agents, and manufacturers.
- Maintain alternate vendors for critical and fast-moving medicines.

Procurement & Commercial Negotiation

- Coordinate daily refill orders and ensure timely delivery to all HealthSy Pharmacy stores.
- Negotiate PTR, schemes, cash discounts, credit periods, expiry returns, and delivery terms.
- Meet vendors and manufacturers personally to close commercial agreements.
- Explore direct procurement from manufacturers wherever commercially viable and legally permitted.
- Compare quotations and allocate purchases based on net landed cost,



availability, and service levels.

Inventory & Stock Management

- Coordinate stock transfers between stores to reduce shortages and excess inventory.
- Monitor near-expiry, non-moving, damaged, and returnable stock.

Issue Resolution & Compliance

- Resolve shortages, billing discrepancies, delayed deliveries, and credit-note issues.
- Ensure procurement only from licensed and approved vendors, with proper GST invoices and batch documentation.

Reporting

- Prepare city-wise and store-wise procurement and vendor-performance reports.

Requirements

- B.Pharm, D.Pharm, MBA in Supply Chain, or relevant pharmaceutical procurement experience.
- Approximately 5–10 years of experience with a pharmacy chain, pharmaceutical distributor, hospital pharmacy, or wholesale business.
- Strong contacts among city-level distributors and pharmaceutical companies.
- Good understanding of PTR, PTS, margins, schemes, GST, credit notes, expiry returns, and drug-licence requirements.
- Willingness to travel and conduct regular vendor meetings.
- Strong Excel/ERP reporting and negotiation abilities.
- Preferably experienced in multi-city pharmacy procurement.
- Must be based in Coimbatore or willing to relocate to Coimbatore.
