The role sits within Samhitas Growth and Innovation team, focused entirely on Samhitas Catalytic Finance portfolio, including returnable grant and credit guarantee programmes. It will be responsible for driving partnerships, communications and outreach to scale awareness and fundraising for these instruments across a diverse set of funders and stakeholders. The role requires someone who can quickly grasp and fluently articulate structured financial concepts, translating them compellingly for audiences ranging from CSR heads and CFOs to philanthropic foundations, UHNIs and government bodies.
The team touches on all key aspects of the Catalytic Finance work lifecycle, from forging partnerships with funders and financial institutions, to creating bespoke pitches and proposals, to building the external narrative that positions Catalytic Finance as a credible, scalable model for inclusive growth. The role will be actively involved in relationship management, outreach planning and resource mobilisation efforts to support the organisations fundraising targets across corporate CSR, philanthropy, government and individual giving channels. Responsibilities:
Partnerships and Fundraising:
- Funder Outreach: Take active ownership of relationship management across corporate CSR teams, philanthropic foundations, government bodies (SIDBI, CGTMSE), international grant-makers and UHNIs, from researching prospects and initiating conversations through to signed partnerships, ensuring pipeline targets are met
- Tailored Pitching:
Develop bespoke pitch decks, concept notes, proposals and collateral for each funder type, from CFOs and Sustainability Heads to government officials and UHNIs, and run these meetings independently and effectively
- Private Sector Engagement: Engage companies and financial institutions to build the case for catalytic finance as a tool to support the MSMEs, farmers and workers in their supply chains, creating the right narrative and materials for each audience
- Grants and RFPs: Work with cross-teams to prepare responses to grants and tenders as they emerge, bringing a strong Catalytic Finance lens to proposal development
- Network Building: Tap into existing networks and develop new ones to grow Samhita-CGFs visibility amongst corporates, trusts, foundations and government agencies, maximising fundraising opportunities
Communications and Thought Leadership:
- Content and Messaging: Drive product-level communications for Catalytic Finance including social media, op-eds and explainers, working closely with the central communications team to ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all touchpoints
- Events and Representation: Identify speaker opportunities and represent Samhita-CGF at industry events, CSR conferences and sustainability forums, while taking strong ownership of agenda design, collateral, pre-reads and follow-up materials for Catalytic Finance events hosted by Samhita-CGF
Program and Operations:
- Strategic Support:
Work closely with the Catalytic Finance lead and senior leadership on planning, innovation and growth initiatives as needed
- Team Management: Manage and mentor one direct report, ensuring quality of output, adherence to timelines and ongoing professional development
- Pipeline Reporting: Maintain a rigorous outreach tracker, pipeline dashboard and reporting rhythm to keep leadership informed and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
- AI and Efficiency: Proactively use AI tools to accelerate content creation, research and outreach, staying ahead of the curve on how these tools can make the team more effective

1. 8+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, development finance or impact investing, with strong financial analytical exposure
2. Strong understanding of financial concepts including credit guarantees and blended finance, with the ability to explain them clearly to non-financial audiences
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
4. Demonstrated track record of building external partnerships and raising funds preferred
5. Highly organised and deadline driven, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
6. Proactive user of AI tools to accelerate research, drafting and content production
7. Strong Interpersonal, client management and presentation skills
8. High interest working in Social Impact Space, and ability to work flexibly to meet deadlines
9. Ability to contribute beyond the defined scope of work
