We are seeking an experienced Logic Monitor Administrator with strong expertise in infrastructure monitoring, cloud observability, event management, automation, and performance monitoring. The role involves administration, configuration, optimization, and continuous improvement of the Logic Monitor platform to provide comprehensive visibility across enterprise IT environments, including on-premises, cloud, network, server, and application infrastructure.

Hands-on experience with other monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds, Zabbix, Site24x7, Datadog will be considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Logic Monitor Platform Administration

- Administer and maintain the Logic Monitor monitoring platform.
- Configure and manage Collectors, Collector Groups, Data Sources, Property Sources, Event Sources, and Alert Rules.
- Ensure platform availability, scalability, security, and performance.
- Perform platform upgrades, collector maintenance, and environment health checks.

2. Infrastructure Monitoring

Server Monitoring

- Configure monitoring for Windows and Linux servers.
- Monitor CPU, memory, disk utilization, processes, services, and operating system health.
- Troubleshoot server performance issues using Logic Monitor dashboards and alerts.

Network Monitoring

- Configure monitoring for routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network devices.
- Implement monitoring using SNMP, WMI, APIs, and other protocols.
- Identify and troubleshoot network bottlenecks and connectivity issues.

Database Monitoring

- Configure monitoring for databases including SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
- Monitor database performance, availability, storage growth, and query health.

3. Cloud & Application Monitoring

- Configure monitoring for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments.
- Monitor cloud-native services and hybrid infrastructure.
- Implement application monitoring for business-critical applications and services.
- Configure custom monitoring using APIs and scripts where required.

4. Event Management & Observability

- Implement enterprise observability strategies using:

- Infrastructure metrics

- Events and alerts

- Application health indicators
- Configure event correlation and alert suppression mechanisms.
- Reduce alert noise through dependency mapping and intelligent alerting.




- Support incident management processes through proactive monitoring and alerting.

5. Automation & Integrations

- Integrate Logic Monitor with:
- ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, ManageEngine SDP, SysAid, Jira, etc.)
- Collaboration platforms (Microsoft Teams, Slack, Email)
- Cloud and third-party applications
- Utilize APIs and automation workflows for monitoring administration.
- Develop scripts and automated processes to enhance monitoring efficiency.

6. Dashboarding, Reporting & Analytics

- Develop executive, operational, and technical dashboards.
- Create SLA, availability, capacity, and performance reports.
- Analyze monitoring data and provide recommendations for system improvements.
- Support management reporting and operational reviews.

7. Capacity Planning & Performance Optimization

- Conduct trend analysis and capacity forecasting.
- Identify infrastructure bottlenecks and resource constraints.
- Recommend optimization measures to improve reliability and performance.
- Support proactive planning for growth and scalability.

8. Unix/Linux & System Operations

- Install, configure, and troubleshoot monitoring collectors on Linux/Unix servers.
- Perform system administration activities related to monitoring infrastructure.
- Develop shell scripts and automation utilities as required.
- Troubleshoot OS-level and connectivity issues impacting monitoring.

9. Continuous Improvement

- Identify monitoring gaps and enhance platform coverage.
- Optimize dashboards, alerts, escalation policies, and monitoring standards.
- Support onboarding of new technologies, applications, and infrastructure into LogicMonitor.
- Drive adoption of monitoring best practices and observability frameworks.

Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with LogicMonitor (mandatory).

- Robust understanding of

- Windows and Linux administration
- SNMP, WMI, APIs, Syslog, and network protocols
- Infrastructure and network monitoring concepts

Monitoring & Observability Skills

- Experience designing and implementing enterprise monitoring solutions.
- Knowledge of event correlation, alert tuning, and noise reduction.
- Understanding of observability principles and monitoring best practices.
- Experience managing enterprise event management processes.

Automation & Integration Skills

- Experience with REST APIs and monitoring integrations.

- Scripting knowledge in

- PowerShell

- Bash/Shell

- Python (preferred)
- Experience integrating monitoring platforms with ITSM and collaboration tools.

Functional Skills

- Strong understanding of ITIL-based Event, Incident, and Problem Management processes.
- Ability to convert business requirements into monitoring strategies.
- Experience supporting enterprise operations teams and NOCs.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to Kubernetes and Docker monitoring.
- Knowledge of AIOps and intelligent event correlation platforms.
- Experience in hybrid cloud and multi-cloud monitoring environments.
- Exposure to automation platforms such as Ansible.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- ITIL Certification (Preferred).
- LogicMonitor Certification (Preferred).

Experience

- 5?10 years of experience in Infrastructure Monitoring and Observability.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on LogicMonitor Administration experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale monitoring environments.

- Understanding of enterprise monitoring frameworks and SRE practices.
