Role Description The Legal Transcriptionist is a full-time, remote role responsible for accurately transcribing a variety of legal audio recordings, including court proceedings, depositions, client meetings, and legal dictations. Day-to-day tasks include listening to and transcribing complex legal content, formatting documents according to established templates, and ensuring that all transcripts meet high standards for accuracy, grammar, and legal terminology. The role also involves reviewing and correcting transcripts, maintaining confidentiality of all case-related information, and delivering completed documents within specified deadlines.





Collaboration with project managers and legal professionals to clarify audio content and document requirements is an essential part of this position.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Transcription Services, Transcribing, and Transcription for legal audio materials.
- Experience with Court Reporting and familiarity with courtroom procedures and terminology.
- Ability to support Legal Document Preparation, including accurate formatting and citation of legal documents.
- Excellent command of written English, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- High typing speed with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and processes; prior experience in legal transcription or a legal workplace is an advantage.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines in a remote setting.
- Access to a reliable computer, high-speed internet, and a quiet workspace; familiarity with transcription software and word processing tools.
