Company Description SabbPe, part of One78 Sabbpe Technology Solutions India Private Limited, is a technology company focused on building an integrated payment ecosystem that supports both online and offline transactions. The company aims to deliver a seamless and convenient payment experience across B2B, B2C, OEM, and strategic alliances with banks, NBFCs, and major card networks such as Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, and NPCI. SabbPe develops solutions including POS and billing integrations, gift cards and vouchers, prepaid and meal cards, BNPL offerings, UPI (standalone and integrated), SaaS platforms, and cross-merchant services.

The product suite also covers loyalty and rewards, domestic and international payment gateway and net banking, as well as chargeback services for international clients.

Role Description The Legal Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Kolkata, Bangalore, Delhi Location. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of legal documents, including commercial contracts, agreements with banking and NBFC partners, and technology and SaaS-related terms.

The Legal

Officer will provide legal consulting to internal teams on business law, regulatory compliance, data protection, and financial services regulations relevant to payments, cards, BNPL, and UPI. Daily responsibilities include conducting legal research, advising on risk mitigation, coordinating with external counsel when required, and maintaining organized legal records and documentation.



The role also supports policy development, ensures adherence to applicable laws and industry standards, and contributes to internal training on legal and compliance matters.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Law and Business Law, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant statutes and regulations to technology-enabled financial services.
- Experience in Contract Law and Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements and partnership contracts.
- Background in Legal Consulting, providing clear, practical advice to cross-functional teams on regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate governance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) or equivalent; LL.M or specialization in corporate or financial law is an advantage.
- Knowledge of payments, fintech, banking, NBFC regulations, and data privacy frameworks relevant to digital and card-based transactions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with product, operations, finance, and compliance teams in a fast-paced workplace.
- Prior experience in a fintech, payments, banking, or financial services company is highly desirable.
- Bar coucel member is mandatory
- Understanding of Investor agreement, Legal draft, Terms sheet etc.
- Chargeback, Arbitration, legal cases etc
