Job Summary

The Legal Manager will oversee and manage all legal matters within Elior India . The role involves providing expert legal counsel across a wide range of issues, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and mitigating the company’s legal risks. This position is integral to the company’s day-to-day operations, working closely with other departments to support business goals and strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal counsel to internal stakeholders on a wide range of matters, including corporate governance, contracts, labor law, intellectual property, compliance, and regulatory issues, ensuring the company’s operations align with legal requirements and mitigate potential risks.
- Compliance Management: Ensure the company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Monitor changes in legislation that could impact the organization.
- Dispute Resolution: Oversee litigation, arbitration,



and other dispute resolution processes. Work with external counsel as needed and provide strategic direction on legal matters.
- Risk Management: Identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Assist in risk assessment related to new projects or business initiatives.
- Corporate Governance: Advise on corporate governance best practices, ensuring proper legal documentation for board meetings, resolutions, and shareholder relations.
- Training & Development: Educate and train employees on legal matters, policies, and best practices to ensure compliance across the organization.
- Mergers & Acquisitions: Support M&A; activities by reviewing and negotiating terms, due diligence, and integration processes.
- Legal Research: Keep abreast of new laws and industry trends to provide proactive legal support and risk assessments.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and amend contracts and agreements with suppliers, customers, and third parties, ensuring legal and organizational interests are protected.

Qualifications

- Education:
- LLB or equivalent law degree (Juris Doctor or LLM is a plus).
- Certification in legal practice (bar admission or legal qualification in the relevant jurisdiction).
- Experience:
- Minimum 210 years of experience in a corporate or in-house legal role (previous experience in the same industry is a plus).
- Proven experience in managing legal matters, including contracts, corporate governance, and compliance.
- Experience with dispute resolution, including working with external legal teams.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, commercial contracts, and employment law.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Ability to balance legal risks with business objectives.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in legal research and use of legal software/tools.
