Role Description The Lecturer in Mathematics role at Amity University, Ranchi is a full-time, on-site academic position focused on delivering high-quality mathematics education at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels. The lecturer will design and deliver lectures, tutorials, and problem-solving sessions, ensuring that course content is current, rigorous, and aligned with institutional standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing teaching materials, assessing student performance through assignments and examinations, providing academic guidance and mentoring, and maintaining accurate records of student progress.

The role also involves participating in curriculum development,



contributing to departmental meetings and academic initiatives, and engaging in scholarly or practice-based activities that enhance teaching effectiveness. Collaboration with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and supporting student activities, seminars, and workshops is encouraged.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, with the ability to teach core and specialized topics clearly and effectively.
- Proficiency in Teaching and Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, learning activities, and assessments aligned with program outcomes.
- Working knowledge of Statistics and its applications, with the capability to integrate statistical concepts into relevant courses where appropriate.
- A Ph.D. or Thesis Submitted.
- Prior teaching experience at the university or college level, with evidence of effective classroom management and student engagement.
- Ability to use educational technology and learning management systems to support instruction and assessment.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive, learner-centered teaching.
- Interest in academic research, publication, or scholarly activities in mathematics or related fields is an added advantage.
