Role Description The Learning and Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for driving skilled growth and instructional quality across the trust’s institutions. This role involves assessing training needs, designing and implementing learning programs for academic and non-academic staff, and managing learning initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

The manager will develop and refine instructional content, oversee leadership development initiatives, and evaluate program effectiveness through feedback and performance data. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with school heads and functional leaders, facilitating workshops and training sessions, supporting the adoption of learning technologies, and ensuring consistent learning standards across locations.



The role also requires maintaining training documentation, reporting on learning outcomes, and continuously improving programs to meet evolving educational and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Training & Development and Training program execution, with experience in planning, delivering, and evaluating staff learning initiatives.
- Proficiency in Learning Management, including use of learning management systems (LMS), tracking participation, and reporting learning metrics.
- Experience in Instructional Design, with the ability to create structured, engaging curricula, materials, and blended learning content.
- Background in Leadership Development, including designing and facilitating programs that build leadership capabilities among educators and administrators.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a learning and development or training management role, preferably within education or large-scale institutional settings.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple campuses.
- Ability to analyze data, use feedback for continuous improvement, and manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Familiarity with educational standards, pedagogical best practices, and change management in academic environments is an advantage.
